Factors Related to Linen Management Practices in Hospitals

Abstract
Introduction : Hospitals, as healthcare institutions, are responsible for maintaining the quality of their services, including linen management. Linen used directly by patients and medical personnel carries a high risk of transmitting infections if not managed properly. Hospital linen management is treated specifically because it contains both infectious and non-infectious types. Observations of linen management practices revealed that 85% of linen management practices at the UPT RSUD RAA Soewondo Pati did not meet the requirements set out in Ministry of Health Regulation No. 7 of 2019.
Objective: This study aimed to identify factors related to linen management practices at the UPT RSUD Soewondo Pati.
Methods: This study used a quantitative cross-sectional approach, with 34 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test and Fisher's exact test.
Results: showed a significant relationship between knowledge (0.003), attitude (0.042), and linen management practices. However, there was no correlation between education (1.00), length of service (0.146), and training (0.559).
Conclusion: Workers with good knowledge are 34.667 times more likely to practice linen management compared to workers with sufficient knowledge.
